MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What happens to the losing teams pre-printed Super Bowl championship shirts and hats?

You might have heard this rumor before about the losing team’s Super Bowl merchandise getting sent to people in need across the world. Turns out, it’s real!

Good360 is the name of the charitable organization who does it all. They are based in Alexandria, Virginia and their whole operation collects excess consumer products to distribute to people in need overseas.

After the Super Bowl ends the losing team’s apparel, in this case Cincinnati, shirts, hats, sweatshirts, whatever else was made gets held in various locations across the U.S. Following the game. Then the people at Good360 figure out exactly how much product is available and who gets what based on the most in need areas and communities.

Pretty neat idea.
