MUNDANE MYSTERIES: When was the word “teenager” first used?

Certain words and terms that feel like they have been around forever, a lot of time didn’t exists until someone came up with the idea to use it.

Like the word “teenager”. The word first appeared in print in an issue of Popular Science three in 1941. One of the writers for the magazine was talking about people who were of the “teen age” (13 through 17) and wrote “I never knew teen-agers could be so serious. The term stuck ever since. Almost how millennials was created during this generation.
