TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Darien Fifth Grader putting her cooking skills to the test on popular TV show

I love food shows. My wife and I watch Food Network constantly. Any food competition shows we’re obsessed with. So when I see someone from Connecticut is going to be competing on one it’s very exciting!

A fifth grader from Darien, Ivy Childs, will be competing in the new season of MasterChef Junior which premieres tomorrow (March 17) on FOX. She is one of 16 kids who will be trying to not get yelled at by Gordon Ramsey and hoping to become the next MasterChef Junior champ.

Ivy is the youngest of four siblings and she’s been cooking pretty much since she could climb up to the kitchen counter, she told CT Post

The winner gets a trophy and $100,000! That’s enough to try and open her own restaurant maybe if she wins. Good luck, Ivy! We’ll be watching.
