TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: A Connecticut horse you can root for in this weekend’s Kentucky Derby

Get out your fancy hats and Mint Juleps. This Saturday is the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY.

If you’re looking for a local horse to cheer on there is a fun Connecticut connection this year. Ralph Durante and John Buckley, both from North Haven have owned racehorses for over 20 years now. Their horse Mo Donegal last ran in the Derby back in 2015 coming in 7th place.

This weekend Mo is racing at 10-1 odds. Good luck Mo! The race starts at 6:57pm this Saturday May 7th.
