TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: How one community stepped up and saved their local bookstore

If you think no one cares about bookstores or that people don’t read books anymore, this story proves you wrong.

This small book store in Detroit had the worst luck ever when they were robbed of $35,000 from people using fake credit cards. For a small business that’s enough to close up shop for good. Unless you have some VERY passionate customers like this store does.

The owner of the store made a GoFundMe page to try and get some donations going to keep the doors open. And boy did it work more than ever. Some people donated large amounts like hundreds and some just gave all they could even if it was just $20. In the end they managed to hit their goal and raise $35,098 to save the store! Incredible.
