THE FEED: Memorial Day Parades & Farmer’s Markets

Every Friday in The Feed Kevin and Jenna talk to Megan from @CampByMama about all the great things to do in Connecticut with the family. This weekend Megan tells us about some early Memorial Day parades that are happening as well as a few farmer’s markets that are starting up.

MEGAN’S PICKS

1. Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony Sunday Noon to 2:00 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Stamford.

2. New Canaan Food Revolution Saturday 9:30 – 11:45am. Enjoy this fun food event in downtown suitable for kids, families and adults at Berkshire Hathaway 98 Park St. Enjoy a morning strolling downtown and sampling bites to eat at different locations. Earn a stamp for everything you taste, if you complete your passport then you will be entered into a prize draw.

3. May Fair in Cos Cob on Saturday, from 3pm to 9pm, will once again bring loads of fun to Cos Cob School and the surrounding community. Enjoy fun rides, games, food, and music at this annual event. Ride bracelets and tickets are both available.

4. New Milford Farmers Market Saturday 9-12 on the green. Local organic farms, food, breads, soaps, honey, and plants. 

5. Bruce Museum 39th Annual Outdoor Crafts Festival Saturday and Sunday May 18 @ 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. This event features fine contemporary hand-made crafts in jewelry, wearable and decorative fiber, glass, furniture and housewares, pottery, and much more. There will also be demonstrations, family craft activities, Museum Movers–Kids Yoga on Saturday, and delicious food by Aux Délices.
