Tuesday February 7, 2023: Irrational Road Fears; Celebrity Let Down; Producer Sean The Perfect Boyfriend

Lots of people like to reference old movies, but yesterday, Raven made a reference toa a movie that was not only old, but very obscure! (:30)

Is Producer Sean the best boyfriend ever?  After hearing about how Sean has been taking care of his sick girlfriend, Anna started comparing it to how she treated her sick husband last weekend… (3:53)

The Chinese Spy Balloon was scary, for sure, but if you’re solution was to try shooting it down, that’s all I need to know about you! (7:22)

Do you have an irrational driving fear?  Anna may have found her dream house for her family, but her irrational driving fear may ruin the whole thing! (10:56)

Is there a celebrity you used to love but now are slightly embarrassed of?  Anna idolized one pop star so much growing, but after seeing her at the Grammy’s, she is feeling a little freaked out! (21:51)

Are you up to date on this week’s biggest news stories?  Anna and Raven will get you caught up on what’s trending, including a Norwegian competition called “Death Diving” (29:45)

Planning the perfect Super Bowl party is tough, but TikTok star Shannon Doherty is here to help!  Anna and Raven couldn’t believe her genius idea about masking tape! (33:44)

Harry and Lucy have been dating for two years and Lucy found a box under his bed with old cards and photos of his ex-girlfriend. Harry doesn’t think it’s a big deal, he’s a sentimental guy and that was a good time of his life. He doesn’t have a bad relationship with his ex, he doesn’t have a relationship with her at all but he likes to read some of the nice things she wrote years ago. Is he wrong to still keep these items? (37:43)

Victoria has got a chance to win $1300!  All she has to do is beat Raven in pop culture trivia! (46:17)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Connecticut won part of Beyoncé’s Grammy (sort of)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Connecticut won part of Beyoncé’s Grammy (sort of)

There were a lot of memorable moments at the Grammy’s on Sunday night, including Beyoncé setting the record for most Grammy’s won by any artist.

Her first award of the night (Best R&B Song for Cuff It) she wasn’t even there yet, stuck in that terrible L.A. traffic. So her producer Nile Rodgers accepted the award on her behalf. An award that also had an interesting Connecticut connection.

Nile owns a recording studio in Westport call Le Crib. Parts of Beyoncé’s album Renaissance were recorded there. No one really knows if Beyoncé spent any time here during the recording but the studio is listened in the credits of the album. So we’re counting it. Good Grammy win, Westport!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What’s the difference between Record of the Year and Song of the Year?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What’s the difference between Record of the Year and Song of the Year?

Sunday night was the Grammys. While watching and scrolling Twitter I noticed a lot of people confused about what the difference was between the Record of the Year award and the Song of the Year category.

Let’s figure out it shall we…

According to the Recording Academy, the Record of the Year category “recognizes the artist’s performance as well as the overall contributions of the producer(s), recording engineer(s) and / or mixer(s) if other than the artist.” The Song of the Year category “recognizes the songwriter(s).”

So there you have it. Last night Lizzo won Record of the Year for About Damn Time and Bonnie Raitt won Song of the Year for Just Like That.

Have you ever seen a sinkhole before?  One woman disappeared out of the blue when a sink hole opened in front of her house! (:30)

It’s one thing if you’re still in college, but if you’re a full grown adult who can’t make their own doctor’s appointment, that’s all I need to know about you! (7:19)

What’s the dumbest argument you had this last weekend?  Anna, Raven and the producers debate which of the four of them had the weekend’s dumbest disagreement! (10:32)

Did you watch the Grammy’s last night?  Anna couldn’t believe that yet another Beyonce controversy happened! (14:31)

Natalie and Jake received an email from their nine-year-old daughter’s teacher asking that their daughter stop bringing a blanket to school because “it’s a distraction”. Their daughter is always cold in class so she started bringing the blanket a few weeks ago. Natalie thinks this is out of line for the teacher, it’s a blanket, she’s cold, what’s the big deal? Jake says that obviously it’s an issue if it’s being addressed and tell their daughter to cut it out. What do you think? (36:27)
