TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Belly Flops don’t always have to hurt

Usually when you do a belly flop into the pool they are very painful and bad. But they don’t always have to be.

Norwalk High School and P-TECH Norwalk held their 2022 Bear Flop recently after a two year hiatus due to the pandemic. Around 40 students, teachers and staff all were part of the fun.

They ended up raising $5,000 for the Whittingham Cancer Center at Norwalk Hospital. Which is fantastic! It’s also the more then they raised in years 1 and 2.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Does gum really stay in your stomach forever if you swallow it?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Does gum really stay in your stomach forever if you swallow it?

We’ve all heard this as kids… “don’t swallow your gum, it will stay in your stomach forever!” But is that actually true?

According to this guy… not really. As an autopsy technician he says the only gum he has come across in the stomach has been recently chewed or swallowed.

So even though it doesn’t stay in your forever, probably not a good idea to go swallowing gum all the time. It must still be hard to digest and work through your system.
