Raven can’t believe Anna does have a favorite one of these! How could you NOT have a favorite!?
With fourth of July weekend coming up you might be spending time away on the water. Either a lake house or pond adventure. But what is the difference between the two?
A lot of it has to do with the depth of the water. Ponds and lakes are both inland bodies of freshwater that contain living creatures. Lakes are normally much deeper than ponds. That’s why if you’re water skiing, tubing, or taking a rid on the jet ski, you’re more likely doing it on a lake than a pond. Ponds are much more shallow, to the point that sunlight can actually reach the bottom. Because of this ponds tend to have more animals and creatures too.

Next time you are sitting in stopped traffic on 95 or The Merritt you are no doubt going to think of this story.
While people we sitting stopped in their cars on a major road in Oregon last Sunday, a small brush fire broke out on the side of the road in the grass. That’s when people in their cars sprung into action and started drenching the flames with any water bottles they had in their vehicles. Smart move! It worked, and the fire got put out prevented what could have been a pretty big disaster.
Next time your stuck in traffic make sure you’re aware of your surroundings.

We drink it every day. Sometimes multiple times a day. But where do we get all the coffee from here in the U.S.?
Funny enough, only two states actually produce coffee here in America. Hawaii and California. Which makes sense since you see a lot of Hawaiian and Californian blends. Otherwise, almost 90% of the coffee we consume here is imported, mostly from South America.
Cheers! I hope you’re cooling down with an iced today.

🐾❤️Kobe!❤️🐾
Due to no fault of his own, Kobe’s owner surrendered him to us. Kobe was adopted from a local municipal pound 7 years ago. He has lived with his family until entering his foster home with BARC.
This handsome low-rider loves people, and is a sweet, laidback boy. He tends to often times look like a real life Eeyore. He has the most soulful eyes, and is extremely gentle.
He is low energy and would thrive with someone who can be home with him often and give him lots of love and affection. He has some skin issues going on that we hope to help him get relief from. (BARC covers this).
According to his former owner, he is good with other dogs and children. Kobe lived with another dog (a husky), and also lived with a 3-year-old child. He currently lives with children, ages 5 and 7 in his foster home, and he is wonderful with them! He’s calm and gentle and never jumps on them. He is not at all bothered by their high energy. He wags his tail and rolls toward them whenever they pet and snuggle him. ❤️
Kobe’s foster mom describes him follows:
Kobe is the sweetest and easiest dog ever! A perfect gentleman! He is 110% mellow. He has not jumped up on anyone in our family, not even the day we met him. He doesn’t go berserk when there’s a knock at the door or people come home from going out (he doesn’t even bark or get up, just lifts his head and starts wagging his tail). He walks perfectly on leash – he could not be any better behaved! Even when people walk by with dogs, he doesn’t bark or pull. I warned my children about leaving their stuffies around, but he has zero interest. This guy doesn’t beg, he’s had no accidents, came preprogrammed with basic commands, and loves baths. Anyone would be so lucky to have this boy!
