If you could have any voice you want, who would it be?  Morgan Freeman and James Earl Jones were the most common responses, but Anna had someone else in mind….

It’s International Women’s Day!  Who are the women who have inspired you?  Anna and Raven asked around the office to find out which women influenced their co-workers!  (3:26)

The Prince Harry and Meghan interview is was one of the most anticipated events in TV history, but if all you want to talk about is THIS part, that’s all I need to know about you!  (7:13)

Did you watch the big Meghan and Harry interview last night?  Early ratings projections say it had almost as many viewers as the Super Bowl!  Raven didn’t watch it, so Anna breaks it down for him, and after hearing the details he’s definitely picked a side!  (12:51)

What did you name your kids and why?  Anna always feels awkward explaining her daughter’s names to people because her oldest daughter is named after an obscure mid-2000’s Sci-Fi show!  (16:47)

Did you do something nice for someone over the weekend, and not get any credit for it?  Anna and Raven will give you the credit due!  One caller’s husband crashed her car, and she stayed completely calm.  You won’t believe what her husband’s reaction was!  (23:57)

How do you feel about eating in bed?  Raven’s wife Alicia ate crackers in bed the other day, and Raven was having none of it!  Do you think he’s over-reacting, or is he right?  Anna and Raven let the callers decide!  (27:41)

Ethan has struck up a friendship with a female co-worker at the retail store where he works. He insists it’s totally platonic, but his girlfriend, Lidia, found out that he has lunch out with her every Tuesday and Wednesday at the sandwich shop next to their store. She says it’s inappropriate to have lunch with another woman, even if they’re just friends. It looks bad. He says she’s overreacting, the woman is married, and her husband doesn’t even care! Whose side are you on?  (37:48)

Raven is on a roll and the jackpot is up to $1900!  Does Ali have what it takes to beat him in pop culture trivia and claim the prize?  (44:30)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The Unique Idea that Is Connecting Teenagers With Older Generations

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The Unique Idea that Is Connecting Teenagers With Older Generations

You hear all the time that the younger generations just can’t relate or understand the older generations and vice versa. Well this great program up in Canada is trying to change that.

The idea is that teenagers can sign up to call seniors once a week, just to check in and talk on the phone for a while.  So far it has been a huge success.

They’re supposed to talk for 30 minutes, but a lot of the calls run long because the conversation is so great. One 17-year-old girl who wants to be a nurse got paired with a 99-year-old who used to be a nurse.  After talking on the phone for a month the finally got to meet in person the other day.

This proves the power of a human to human connection no matter what age you are. Hopefully more programs like this start popping up everywhere.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Where Does “In like a lion, out like a lamb” originate?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Where Does “In like a lion, out like a lamb” originate?

You’ve probably heard the popular phrase right around this time of year “March comes in like a lion, goes out like a lamb” which refers to the weather patterns. The start of the month tends to be winterish like we had this year so far and the end of the month gets a little warmer, a little nicer. But where does the phrase originally come from?

Astrology! Most experts say it likely started as a reference to the constellations Leo (a lion) and Aries (a ram, or lamb) in the night sky. Over time it quickly became more about the changing weather from the farmer’s almanac.

Anna has a confession to make.  She’s been doing something.  Something that she has openly mocked in the past.  Something that she has passed judgement on many people for doing.  And she loves it.

Do you have Zoom fatigue?  Everyone has it to a degree, but true Zoom Fatigue isn’t just being frustrated at having one or two Zoom meetings a day.  Anna has seen the effects of real Zoom Fatigue first hand in her husband, and it’s not pretty!  (2:30)

Everyone is entitled to try to make a buck, but if you try to sell THIS to a busy mom in a parking lot, that’s all I need to know about you!  (6:18)

How does your boss show their appreciation?  Today is National Employee Appreciation Day, and it turns out, the things most people want from their boss isn’t money.  They just want them to say these 5 words!  (12:54)

What’s that toy that you have to hide from your kids?  Anna’s two-year old has a new toy that makes a huge mess, and you won’t believe what it is!  Who gives something like that to a two year old anyway?  (25:27)

Mike is that guy that is constantly starting arguments on Facebook. He has even started fights with other parents in their child’s school’s Facebook group. His son came home upset because the kids at school were talking about how their parents were talking about him, and the crazy stuff he writes on Facebook. (They heard it from their parents). His wife, Jill, says enough is enough. He has to delete his account, not just stop using it, delete it. He says he can voice his thoughts even if they’re not popular. Whose side are you on?  (35:19)

Raven is on a roll!  Can Lisa stop his winning streak and win the $1800 jackpot?  (42:53)
