Today is opening day of the Major League Baseball season. To celebrate the MLB has teamed up with the most famous baseball snack “Cracker Jack” and are releasing special edition bags of “Cracker Jill” at baseball stadiums across the country.
It’s all to support the Women’s Sports Foundation. Even if you’re not going to a game today you can donate $5 and get a bag for yourself! Pretty neat.
They even got Normani to record a reworked version of “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” for it.

Today is opening day for the baseball season to celebrate here’s a baseball mystery. Why do the players wear numbers on the back of their jerseys?
The first baseball team to ever do it back in the 1920s were the New York Yankees. The reasoning behind it was for the team to wear the numbers that match up with the team’s batting order. So Babe Ruth wore the number 3 as he always hit third.
Nowadays the numbers are more of a tradition and to identify who and where each player is on the field while the game is happening.
