Avoiding Porch Pirates

Avoiding Porch Pirates

How do you make sure your deliveries don’t get stolen off your doorstep? Amazon Manager Andrew gives you the best tips on what to do!

I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT! This is not safe, but 70% of us have done it at least once during the holidays?

I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT! This is not safe, but 70% of us have done it at least once during the holidays?

All this week I have tickets to CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY coming to the Toyota Oakdale Theatre for five performances May 20-22, 2022. I loved this movie and these shows are supposed to be awesome.

Play every day at 4pm and try to win.

Here’s today’s question if you missed it…

Q: This is not safe to do, but nearly 70% of us have done it at least once during the holidays?

A: Left Christmas tree lights on overnight!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: When does the 12 Days of Christmas actually start?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: When does the 12 Days of Christmas actually start?

I wonder this every time I hear the song. When are we supposed to start the “12 days” in the “The 12 Days of Christmas”?

I always thought it was before or sometime in early December. Nope. It is actually about the 12 days AFTER Christmas, not before.  The last day always ends on January 6th, which is a holiday called the Feast of the Epiphany.

Crazy!

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: A festive world record has been set, making all other Christmas trees seem underwhelming

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: A festive world record has been set, making all other Christmas trees seem underwhelming

Talk about a crazy world record. This woman in the U.K. just set a new one for the largest collection of Christmas ornaments.  She started collecting them in 1999, and now has 1,760 different ornaments in her house! That seems somewhat recent for collecting ornaments right? I still have some from like 1987.

She hopes to break 2,000 ornament mark in the next year or two.

Here’s the video if you want to see what that many ornaments actually looks like:

Raven’s Report Card: Will The Streak Continue?

Raven has been on a role recently and has been getting great grades from Alicia, but will a current heating unit being installed leave holes in Raven’s grade this week like the construction crew has been leaving holes in their house?

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Amazon driver goes above and beyond for customer’s porch

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Amazon driver goes above and beyond for customer’s porch

Tis the season for porch pirates and Amazon backorders. We hear all the horror stories about getting our holiday package delivered, but what about the good stories!? Like this one

An Amazon driver in Oregon is going viral because of what he did for this one customer after dropping their package on the porch. Right when he made the delivery he noticed a big windstorm knocked down all their Christmas decorations. He decided to take the time to set them all back up for her.

Her security camera got it all on video too! What a great holiday helper.
