TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Jets rookie QB surprises fan while having Christmas brunch at Jersey diner

Even when your team isn’t having the greatest season you can still be positive and help others. Like Jets rookie QB Zach Wilson. Who seems like a really nice kid an this story confirms it.

Christmas morning Zach Wilson was out to brunch at a diner in new York with his family when his waitress recognized him and said she and her son were big fans. She then asked if it would be okay if they FaceTime’d her son to surprise him. Zach went one better and gifted two Jets tickets to them for the next game this weekend!!

Wilson was there with his family who traveled across the country to spend Christmas with him. He told his mom to not record anything since he doesn’t do things like this for people to see. He said he just wanted her to be happy on Christmas, that makes him happy. But obviously there were other people in the diner who managed to capture the special moment on video. MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Has the Times Square Ball ever not been dropped on New Year’s Eve?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Has the Times Square Ball ever not been dropped on New Year’s Eve?

The Times Square ball has lit up NYC on New Year’s Eve at midnight every year since 1907. There has only been two times in history when it didn’t. Both happened during the World War II light restrictions in 1942 and 1943. Times Square had to remain dark on New Years Eve and there was no ball drop.

But even the pandemic we are in now didn’t stop the ball from dropping last year and it will be in all it’s glistening glory tomorrow night to welcome in 2022.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The delicious way a Connecticut woman is helping families in need

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The delicious way a Connecticut woman is helping families in need

There are very few things that can make everything better. A great home cooked meal is one of them.

A woman from New Milford named Danielle Weisberg understands this more than anyone. She has been baking lasagna for families that are going through hard times.

Any time she hears of someone going through a crisis her and a group of volunteers fire up the oven and get cooking on lasagna. They even named the program “Lasagna Love” which is a fantastic name.

The lasagna looks very tasty too.
